Don’t Be Fooled: A Love Story Written in Chaos and Music
Hey guys, what's going on? It's Wes and it's been a hot minute since we have done a podcast and that one's of my bad. I would like to say it's my fault. I fall asleep too early during the week, Vic works on the weekends.
And that's when I usually go bang, bang, bang, bang, bang on, which is slang, which translates into I play drums on guitar hero and try to practice rudiments or paradiddles on a drum pad. Just to give you a heads up on this episode, there's a huge, huge life changing event for Victoria and I, not you. You're just listening. This is my first time using a mic preamp for the shore mic that was boxes.
Mike only took me four years to figure out that I didn't have enough power going to it. So finally, there's a lot of chaos in the background and because we've had a lot, we had a lot of drinks before the show and during the show, Vic, what would we drink? A whole bottle of rum? Yeah. She said, uh-huh. She's like, yeah, she's sleeping right now. It's like five AM ball of rum, ball of whiskey.
And it was, it was a lot of fun. Also, there's a lot of music breaks in this because I'm radio guy. I like music. And so we baited Nick. There was a hidden agenda Victoria and I had.
So we baited him to do the show on the guys of talking about the Taylor Hawkins, you know, rest and beat, as they say, rest and beat. I like that. Tell me Lisa that. Well, okay.
Very good point. Victoria said, let me, let me clarify. What we decided to do, I'm trying to like kind of tease them, but we decided this was not a drunken, this, what's up? Okay. That is true too. Okay.
So let me just kind of tee this up. What this life changing event was or is, um, Victoria and I decided to do this prior, like a week, we've been, this was going to happen inevitably, but we decided we, the weekend before we recorded this is when we submitted. We were sober. This show was not, this was not, but the whole thing was not an impulse, but a good thing was that Victoria, we've redid our room and we got a new TV. So we've been having this, we had our old TV, which was what 65 inch was, was a 60 inch TV and just sitting in our living room ready to be taken.
So Victoria was just like, Hey, let's go back to our house cause they wanted to go to us to go to their apartment and we're like, no, come back to, come back to our place. We'll give you a TV. It just buys dinner and some beers and that's, that's all it costs.
So be our friend. You get a TV, but it just so happens that Nikolai, when he reached out, the stars aligned and he happens to be inefficient. If you know what that means, you kind of know where the show is going. And if you don't, it'll be pleasantly surprised. So on the, and also we did not plan for this to happen on April Fool's Day. This was a, a delightful surprise. Wouldn't you say so?
Yeah. It was, it was, it was a delightful surprise. And this is not an April Fool's joke. This is all real. There's some chaos in the background. It's, it's fun.
I try to clean it up as much as possible just to kind of shorten it cause we rambled, but who cares, right? Again, a lot of music breaks is going to be awesome. It's going to be fun. I'll be checking in with you kind of, you know, navigating you through the chaos that was his podcast. So here we go.
Cheaper Than Therapy Media presents the check in podcast official title, pending. I'm just, I'm doing this out of the way. So here we go.
Let's kick it off with a little food fighters, my hero. Okay. That's bad. So, right? Okay.
And then, so tonight is a big night because I'm going to use a mic preamp. No, I'm just kidding. There's, there's a lot more to that.
Well, first thing we have Trish and Nikolai who Victoria and I have not seen in a hot. It's okay. It's okay. Hey, everything's still okay.
Yeah. I'm here. My way better half's here. Yeah.
She is like, she is your way. It's my fault. So it's okay.
People, how are y'all doing? Yeah. Yeah. We just had a moment. It was a little party. Something to lose sleep over shots and I donated one of the glass gods of the desk.
Yes. This was the first shot. That's not mine. Oh, it was mine.
It's okay. So big show for you tonight. This is like a big show.
porn star, monster dick, monster truck, big show. How big? Okay. Like Dirk Dickler big.
Okay. Or pre MTV or post MTV. Dirk Dickler. We're talking like, you know, boogie nights.
You know, we're talking the last scene of boogie nights or Tommy Lee size penis. Okay. Okay. So that, I mean, we're talking big. We're talking Netflix, white set vagina, big gaping hole vagina. Yeah.
So, um, Canadian extra point kicking. So Vixx 666 who's my better half, the voice of reason all the beautiful goddess, the goddess that pulled me out of the gutter. Okay. It took a shot on me and we don't want to know what shot she took on you. We got gross when we first met.
Um, dude, it was it was like heavy padding. We got kicked out of home. We'll just say that home is not where their moms left. Yeah.
No, no, no, no. Home was the ping pong bar and it's an odd thing to be. All right, friends, on the other end of this radio, we're clinking some glasses. Tonight, tonight, tonight we're celebrating man and we got big things happening. I'm going to step on West for a second and tell you right now that as we do this shot right now, there's a reason we're doing some shots.
Oh, that's a really good reason that this cruise together. I haven't been on the radio on a mic in a while, but if you know me, some of you might know me as an aficionate. Yes. You are an aficionate. And also if you don't, uh, Nick Lise, been coming on air with me since 2012.
We were snobs when it comes to this. So like, it's might be a bad radio show, but at least it's a well produced bad radio show. So that's all. That's all. That's all. That's production on a bad radio show in town. Yeah.
So, you know, fuck you guys. I watch other, I watch other internet radio shows and listen to them and I'm like, wow, that's what good radio podcasts sound like. Yeah. And what bothers me the most is like these guys who ESPN and me see like they have the budget to have good audio from remotely.
And they still sound really, they have like their AirPods in and I'm like, are you guys using your computer? Like Jesus Christ, get a room. I can't stand it. I've actually like, I actually been around the world and yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I've actually like deleted interviews because they sounded terrible. Like I can't do it. I'm not talking about that guy. Yeah. All right, ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you right now.
So yeah, sorry, we got a digress. We are sponsored by Budweiser cans, Budweiser cans, Boons bourbon, clink, clink, clink. I don't know if you're hearing that clink, clink. Boons bourbon. Yeah, overproofed, overproofed for over choices because we love the Boons bourbon.
I think the backlight was a little too bright. Want me to turn that down? Yeah, hold on real quick.
I want to do one more. And I got to tell you right now, man, we're sitting here. There's a lot of things going on, but it's a big night. We're going to talk about a lot of things. We're going to talk about music. We're going to talk about life.
We haven't been together in a while and there's a lot of stuff going on. So we're going to send some love to some of the team today even. Yeah. I know that we're talking riddles right now for some of you all, but it's a big day. It's a big day. Big night. So there's only a few hours of it left. Yeah. So we just put it out.
We got to get it in. No, it's the timing. The timing of this is really funny because people are probably thinking that this is an April Fool's joke. And this is, and I say, hey, sir.
Yeah, this is actually pretty serious. I'm blood oath. That's all I'm asking.
Blood oath. Oh my goodness. Yeah, we're going to swap later. All right. So well, actually this started, this started what, last weekend?
What was the day? 20? Yeah. So Friday before the 20th.
Friday before the 28th. So Victoria and I have been talking about marriage and we wanted to do it kind of like the anti-marriage. We were just going to work on this about it. Yeah. So we wanted to do, and listen, man, go to the courthouse and then get on a plane and go on a honeymoon.
That was the goal. I want to step on you real quick and tell you right now, everybody's heartbroken. It doesn't matter. I want you to know right now, man, I've done more weddings than I care to talk about. I've been a part of a lot of weddings. I'm a photographer. I'm a caterer. I'm a bartender.
I'm an aficionate, which is what, which is actually what we're going to talk about tonight. But I want you guys to know right now, weddings should be yours. And it's one of the things I tell everybody every time somebody asks me to be a part of the wedding. I preach to everybody, this is your wedding. Stop doing it for other people.
Stop putting other people's things more important than what your life demands or wants. Be it yours. Yeah. Like we're going to spend $20,000 to make sure everybody else has a good time. So tonight we're going to do a Castellano wedding. Yeah.
We got a few because basically we got a future Mrs. Castellano and there's not many. Vixy. I just grabbed her.
Yeah. My other half. She likes to grab boobs. Patricia D's on kind of the mic with me tonight. If you got, oh, Vixy, you want to get the audience for sure. You want to get your mic? No, you guys be the lead mics. We'll be back. All right.
So Vix got not rock and scissors. She's got the two cup up. Oh, God, I love that thing. Okay. Anyway, she's like, she's like eyes up here. I'm like, no, eyes are down there. All right. Those are not eyeballs.
Yeah. So on the side looking at you. So I said to Vick, we were sitting there and I was sitting on the computer just digging around and I wrote her note. I said, like, just do you want to get married this weekend? And I wrote the ring on it. Yes. No, put a ring on it. Is she checked?
Yes. Ring. She not a cock ring. But the blood was still flowing to my penis. So I wanted to flow to your other head. Yeah.
No. Well, that head was talking. Where is that head going? Yeah. She gets it. I mean, we're talking like Plymouth Rock. Whoa, whoa, whoa. What? Keep it clean. Keep it clean. What? Niagara Falls fucking Plymouth Rock over here. So that's all I'm trying to say.
At least it's not Mount Markmore. You fucking drowned a baby in those panties. So they are queef so high. What was it on letter Kenny? Queef so hard the neighbors thought I bought a dirt bike.
I'm gonna droop. Yeah. So I'm glad I wish I could remember all those ones.
Oh, they're so good. Well, I'll I'm putting a little marker. I'm putting a little marker in there.
I'm putting a marker to say, like, insert letter Kenny. Yo, if you guys haven't seen the Women's Day letter Kenny special, first of all, it's the first special they've ever done. And I'm going to tell you right now, it is the funniest episode I've ever seen because it's the anti it is so real. You guys need to watch it. Watch it with your other half. Make.
Listen, I'm not this isn't a thing, but like make your other half. Watch it with you because they would they double down on not only that girls are funny, but like yeah, that was the grossest one. Yeah, I love it. Like when in the latest season, when I went up McMurray and Mrs. McMurray, we're trying to gross out Gail and they were doing all this thing about doing like kooch. Yeah, they were like pouring beer and like drinking beer out of the pussy.
And there's like, don't knock it to each other, but she left her talk fucking weird. God, yeah. Like, yeah. Yeah. Don't leave your socks on. Yeah. So Victoria, Victoria is a sock.
We have sock free sex. Yes. Yes. Good to know that's good to know. Yeah.
I now pronounce you sock free. Yes. I'm just practicing.
Just practicing. So, um, tangent's aside. So Victoria said yes. And then we jumped on the, the, uh, was it love? Yeah. Yeah. So the acronym is actually like love. Love. Yeah. So for the probate court, so we've, turns out it is cheaper to get married than it is to go out for a dinner in Charleston. So $70, $70.
That is a shot at Charleston restaurant Yeah. Hashtag relevant. I can have all you can eat sushi for cheaper than it is to marry my other half. Yeah.
It would, it's cheaper. Numb, numb, numb, numb, numb, numb, numb, numb, numb, numb, numb. Belly ache afterwards though. Yeah. So basically, like basically what it would be for this bottle of Matthew McConaughey's whiskey is 40 bucks. So 30 to more dollars.
I could buy one of that almost two bottles of whiskey to get married. So $73. That's with processing those goddamn fees. That's where they get you. That's where they get you. Taxes.
Stone, nothing can be done with it. Taxes. Yeah. We realized that. We're carving the stone tonight too.
Yeah. So Vick and I are getting married tonight because Nick is an officiant. So we needed to have witness. Not for real. It's a big night here on the, on the show. And don't be, don't be fooled by Victoria and I's nonchalant attitude. This is not a joke. This is not an April Fool's joke. They are really getting married in front of me tonight. Yo. Yeah.
So we needed an officiant. So the star, the star is actually a line because Nick, check it out. Nick texts texting me about the Slipknot concert. And then we started talking and then it was just kind of like, I hadn't heard from who went to the Slipknot concert tonight.
Yeah. On a fucking Wednesday. On a Wednesday. But yeah, with the Slipknot concert. Two nights ago.
Sorry. So then I started, then I asked Nick, I was like, oh, and I was, when I was reading the paperwork, I go, oh, you need an officiant or notary. So I go, I'm like, oh, fuck, Nick is an officiant. So I asked him like, oh, by the way, can you fish in what he's selling? He's like, yeah, I can. And then everybody didn't connect the dots.
And then we're like, can you want to hang out on Friday? I'm not just here by accident. I am. No, no, we want to hang.
We want my fucking name. No, 1000%. There's only one reason. There's only one reason why I started hanging out with you 10 years ago is so you could have 10 years. My future wedding.
10 years ago, I said I would officiate his wedding. Yeah. And that's the only reason why I'd be friends. No other reasons. Okay. So after this, our friendship is binding. Yeah.
This bottle of rum is mine. Yes, we are. So, Vick, are you ready to do this? You want to make it real? I mean, you've been sleeping in the same bedroom with him for years and solo disappointed. Yeah. I mean, now's your chance to find a new bedroom. Yeah.
You're down. But we just got a new bed. I love that her answer is this bedroom is well decorated. It is. It is. It is.
It gives Drew a panic attack. No, this is not. We record in the Casolano bedrooms. Yeah. I want you to know right now the Rockin' Hall of Fame has got some notes to take because this bedroom is sick. We got a weird. There's gold records on the wall. Yeah, we got more memorabilia. We got Motley Crue. We got autographs by Stone Sour, Foo Fighters, Hell Yeah, Evanescence, 21 Pilots. Let's get into some music. Let's get.
Oh, so this is what I always wanted my wedding song to be, and it's by Stone Sour, believe it or not. What do you got? Play it.
What do you got? Oh, not that song. Not that song. Number one of the bullets. This song.
Sorry. Yeah, it sounds way better when I don't have anybody when the mics are off and I can just play the actual audio that was Stone Sour. Say you'll haunt me because I wanted that to be our first wedding song. But then I was like, but there's another beautiful song that Corey Taylor does and with his band, Stone Sour and that's song three. So here, let's listen to that one.
Carolina Rebellion. Oh, no, I'm well aware of your connection to Corey Taylor. Shout out to Darren Schooner, my good buddy who works with Electra and all that. So he is the coolest guy. You'll ever meet. So after I got out of radio, well, when I got fired, he was the one guy that stuck actually just was still a friend.
Yeah. So, Darren, I love you buddy. And Victoria is always wanting to pit me out for. If you don't know Wes and I, these guys are some of our favorite artists, man. They don't get better. They're probably some of the nicest guys in the world on top of it. You know, let alone they're some of the sickest fucking musicians in the world. Dude, when you can go from something this pretty to like fucking do people equal shit, I mean, it's even like Chad Gray having just like these insane vocals of screaming like he's shredding his vocals and then they do something beautiful.
That's just, it's just too good. We're talking about some of our favorite music here. Oh yeah, dude. Can we, can we, can we wrap it around to the sad day? Can we talk about it tonight? With Vinny Paul or Taylor Hawkins?
Taylor Hawkins. Can we, can we talk about it? Yeah. So while it's starting with Vinny in 2018, that was the same year box died, but then which was, what was the silence moment of silence? Everybody take a break. This is actually box.
This is actually box is Mike. Deep breath. I miss you, buddy. It's, uh, that was, that was glad to hear with us box.
That was, yeah. But I think it's only fitting that somebody that was so out of my back and gave me the opportunity and radio, um, to have him here in a way. His microphone.
He's with us every day. Oh dude. My dad sends me these deep cuts.
I've sent him like clips from like 2016, 2015 and not like they have box in them. And I'm like, it was great because it was one when he would like scream from the background. He's like, love your hair. And I'm like, fuck you. You know, we're just yelling.
This is like that. I know. And I missed the studio, the studios communication was beautiful back then.
Oh man. That was, it was so much fun because Madprop's the potter who just basically threw me the keys and was just like, have whoever you want on well, within reason. That was the beauty of 98 rock. It was very approachable. It was, uh, it was just, it was people doing music and it was beautiful because of it. We were fans of what we play. You're the same people. You were multi-generational and, uh, and you guys loved the music that you're repping. And that was the beauty of the station. Yeah.
And then thank you. Too bad. Too bad. It's not that anymore. I haven't listened to it since 2018. No, you're not wrong.
But, uh, we, we, we as rock fans as actual rock musician fans, we lost one this week, man. Yeah. And not a, not a, not a fucking joke. Like we lost a good one.
Yeah. He was, I mean, so Dave, so Dave Grohl, who's arguably one of the greatest drummers is saying, he was on 60 minutes. Anderson Cooper asked him, do you miss playing drums? And he says, no, he goes, I have the greatest drummer in the world referring to Taylor Hawking's. So you have people who are referring to the best.
My favorite drummers, favorite drummer died. Yeah. I have goosebumps right now. And just it was like, since Vinny Paul, like I haven't been, you know, like people will say like, Oh, like that musician, like you really said, I'm like, fuck yeah, dude. Like those songs and those bands, like they got you through some shit.
You got me through some shit. Dude, Foo is one of my favorite musicians. Probably the favorite rock bands put together. I would say probably one of the best top 10 rock bands ever just because they were fans of music, especially Dave Grohl's catalog. They're the throw like fucking rock and roll musicians doing, doing everything we love about music, man.
Yeah. And they didn't hesitate about what they did. And what was really cool about like Taylor was that Taylor was a fucking piece of it from the beginning and he was truly a piece of it. He had that smile.
Like you could tell he just loved his job. And what I really appreciated about Taylor was like, you know, of course you're gonna say John Bonham, Keith Moon, like you, those are your classic like influences, but he's saying, Pleawood Mac, he's saying the police like bands, you, the drummers, you don't think Queen, you don't think of, you know, how great they are until you isolate the, you're like, Holy shit. We probably all know Taylor Hawkins and what he brought in the last 20 years to music, man, as a, as a member of Foo Fighters.
One of the things that I learned post his passing was that that was a Linus Morissette's drummer on the little pill tour. Yeah. 96. I didn't know that. Yeah. And that was kind of the break that put him up. That Dave Sawman was like, yo, this is my guitar player.
Yeah. So he, so apparently this is like what happened was the original drummer of the first album of Foo Fighters, he was used to playing live, but he wasn't studio ready because when you have, and this is me, I'm just talking about, I play like I quote unquote play drum drums. Our musician audience knows what we're saying. So like every note gets screwed nice. Yeah. You gotta play it live and don't wait. Yeah.
You can't, you can't be a studio musician. And they said, like Dave said, like, you know, very, very nice as you give me. He's like, dude, you're not ready.
That's nothing to be ashamed about. It's like a studio musician is very different. And then it's like Taylor just came in and just fucking. He gave him everything.
Yeah. And it was just his advice when I was watching, it was like a drum lesson or it was like a bio slash drum lesson. He just said like advice. Well, he, one, he built a Frankenstein kid basically buying it very slowly, not the same. And then he said, it's cool when you're young to like write your own music. He goes, but learn how to play covers because people don't want to hear your original shit. But that's going with that.
That's actually a really good thing. Because if you're learning jazz, you're learning anything, everything but rock, heavy metal, you're learning how to do that swing, you're learning how to do the French grip, you're learning how to do peridotals. And then you start realizing how good other drummers are when it's outside your preferred genre. That's giving you so much more depth and these amazing riffs are happening or I guess what it would be. It's not a riff, but a chop. Yeah. You're not wrong.
So that with Dave Grohl's infinite knowledge and catalog of musicians, just it was a match made in heaven. Those guys sold off fucking Wimbly. Nobody's done this queen.
80 over 80,000. They were best friends. Yeah.
I'm not here. Listen, I don't think you and I are the guys to deep delve into their relationship. No, because there is no because they were best friends and they were brothers and they were they were you and me of a band that became probably one of the biggest rock bands of our generation. Probably one of the best. I don't think that's arguable. I think that's a fact. I dare.
It's like I dare you can hate him if you want. I don't give a shit I'm positive the West doesn't give a shit. No, I really don't. Now you try to tell me cannibal corpse is better than food fires.
Go fuck yourself. Like the band that we're talking about is one of the best rock bands, rock and roll bands of our time and comments is all wrong. You don't have to like them, but but they they made music that I guarantee your girlfriend's Bob and her head too. Yeah, exactly.
In the sexual way and and then like, you know, the night of the Roxbury and unfortunately they lost there is no there is no room for this week. To whatever causes who gives a shit. Yeah, I don't care.
And I lost them. I hate that we talk about it. Yeah, it's irrelevant to me. What matters is that gone too soon. Yeah, my my my brothers in rock and roll have lost their their friend. And I think that sucks. Yeah. And I think that would matter to all of us, no matter what that relationship was. And I hate that we take a video of it.
And we're granted and want to know why and how and show me pictures because I think that's foul as shit. Yeah, I don't think it matters. No, I mean, not in Taylor's case, but I mean, we could talk about Bob Saget if we want to go that route.
Or you can. Yeah, I mean, we know how it goes. And I think it's like Chester didn't matter. Yeah, it doesn't matter how they died.
They died and they're not here with us now. And fucking. I think all of us could argue that the world of art can be a very turmoil world. I know that's not proper English, but I don't really give fuck.
No, it's a but I know you live in a turbulent, turbulent world. I don't think it's fair. I don't think it's fair to judge people by their moment of tapping out.
Yeah, I think if you choose to tap out, it's on your own course. We all have our own vices. Yeah, I'm not saying here pro suicide. I don't mean that at all. But it's I don't think he's set out to do that. I think at the end of the day, you know, everybody's got their their vices or things.
And if you got to live your life for your own course, that's what I'm trying to say. Yeah, if I could, the very few seconds I've been in front of 10,000 people that high is something you cannot recapture. And then the adrenaline, I remember when I introduced hell, yeah, I was so jacked.
I actually haven't seen him more excited friends. I think I passed that I passed out afterwards. My adrenaline was going, I went skydiving and never been so jacked. So I couldn't imagine. I'll show you pictures of us meeting them for a meet and greet. And you just imagine after seeing those pictures, what he was like after introducing them on a live stage to perform.
So with it just puts a meet and greet. We're over the best. I had to fucking rescue that night. It's up on the the wall. But with that being said, to calm down off of that, I fell asleep.
So he's doing, I can't even imagine to be one of the greatest rockdivers with the one of the greatest rock bands. Yeah, to decompress. Like for me, like driving home and having a beer is my decompression.
I just work making lights. Like it's whatever, dude. It's the thing is, if fucking sucks, we lost one of the greats, we lost one of the greatest bands now. But what the great thing is, there's legacy. We got so many great songs. Hey, since we're talking about about bands, you know, and legacies, can we talk about Phil Collins and Genesis? Phil Collins performed his last song. Yeah, which was so tough because he couldn't play drums. This was not in the books. No, because he didn't get to play drums. He was basically sitting.
Peter Gabriel showed up for the last show. How awesome is that though? Dude, like, I was, how suck is that?
It's a block of sucks. We saw our last Phil Collins show y'all. I'm right.
Does that mean anything, y'all? No, because I don't think people really appreciate how amazing drums, like how big he was. Like, let's do the intro of Easy Lover. First of all, that's what's Eric Bailey, is that Phillip Bailey on Easy Lover? Either way, he was in, it was Phillip Bailey. Yeah, it was. But basically he was in Earth, Wind and Fire.
Okay. So yeah, Phillip Bailey, the intro to Easy Lover, it's crazy awesome. And then again, he did in the internet one of the arguably the most iconic drum. So because you could easily do. Everybody want to see Mike Tyson freak the fuck out? Yeah.
Yeah, fuck that. To have Phil Collins, I mean, 20 years later, think about it, he did. The finalization of a song ever. Genesis did like invisible touch. And then Phil Collins of Space Value, he goes back to Genesis.
So like in the 80s, he like did not stop and he was flip-flopping between bands and solo. Yeah. Think about it. Like you have, that's all I can't dance.
Invisible touch in the air tonight. You have all these respect for what you brought to the table. I mean, definitely not enough respect.
He was not some cheesy pop. Oh no. No, no, no. This was no fluke. Yeah. This was not Flock of Seagulls or Frankie goes to Hollywood.
This was one of the greatest musicians of our lifetime. Yeah. We're close enough to the same age. I'm allowed to say that.
Yeah. We were born in the 80s. And no matter what band that he decided to work with, everything he brought to the table was gold. I mean, so really one of the best musicians of our life. And you know how hard it is to be a drummer or singer? Oh yeah.
Like I watch these like all those like warm up videos or like just things like practice and they try to, you know, like you know, like para, they go, it's really hard to talk and do this. And he's fucking singing. Like I said, man, anybody else wants to step up to that table. There's not a lot of drummer singers in the world. For a reason.
It's not there. It's not the easiest position. And then if only like, you know, Travis Barker doesn't do it. He's arguably one of the best drummers.
Yeah. You don't, he's like, you literally, you just don't see it unless they maybe have like a backup vocal. But even that, like Tommy Lee does it like, dude, nobody cares. Well, Vince Neil sucks at singing now. So bad. I was going to say, Tom and Neil singing this because, because of Vince Neil's not good. Dude, it's so bad.
And like, oh, what? You're not going to go see Miley Crue. No, I'm good. I'm good, man. I saw him. I saw him three retirement tours ago. Yeah.
They signed the affidavit like this will be the last one. I saw him in Grangerill, South Carolina. It's, it's, it's Rob. Nobody gives credit to fucking Mick Mars. Like that guy, Nicky six in McMars with the best people in the band.
I would say Mick as much as I love Nicky six, but I would say that we've read the book. So I got him right here. I know. A frail little man can produce wild side on guitar is absolutely insane.
I agree. So Mick was so overlooked. I like guitarist. Other would like overlook Brad Wilk of Raging and some machines always overlooked. Same with Tim Comerford on bass. Just because it's like Tom Rell is active in the Roach and Rage, but like that's what you think. Like, it's like, do you understand how good Tim Comerford is? Like, how good, how good Brad Wilk is. A lot of jazz.
So he did fucking the beginning and killing name is he fucking made a cowbell sound awesome. Fuck dude. And it's how do you really feel about that? I just, I, I've started to just isolate drum tracks now. I've started to isolate drum tracks and, you know, I've always liked to West is learning drums. And he thinks he's a drummer. Oh, I'm not.
So, just so not. I'm, I'm practicing my, my single stroke rolls at like 70 beats per minute is just trying to get good at that. But drummers out there. And did you guys all just snicker? Yeah, they all did.
So single. So fuck rudiments, but they said the three single doubles and paradiddles. That's all I need.
You play 95% of every, any song if you can do those. That's killer. Yeah.
It's like, there's like what, 40 rudiments? But there's like, well, actually, if you want to play Travis Barker, paradiddled, diddle is a good one. But have you ever seen the godmother of drumming?
No. Oh, dude, it's like some like 75 year old woman that can play any rock song. Oh, she's awesome. She plays like, what's my age again?
No problem. She'll play disturbed down with the sickness, which I hate to serve. But like, she's just like, you know, sit there like doing drunk classes. She's like, Oh yeah, just do the paradiddles.
This and this and this and this. And it's like, what the fuck? So like the fact that it's so broken down. So if like, if you can do these patterns and then you play them all over the drum, memorization, yeah, just, it's all just left, right. It's just like, you're just doing it and just hitting it on different surfaces.
So now it's broken down to something so simple, like, okay, not simple, easy concept, excruciatingly hard to execute. That's what I'm going to get. Word. Yeah. So what are they, what are our plus ones doing? We're supposed to sign some papers. Yeah, we're going to sign some papers in a minute. That's where I really like, I like, like, you guys, you guys hear Vic second in the background? Can we go to that too? If you guys, if you guys need me to pin the microphone over top of what West has said, I can make them sound good. Can we go? No, let's talk about it, man. Are we doing some signatures?
Yeah, let's do some signatures. We gotta figure this fans. This is going to be the craziest situation ever. I think we should pour shot first of all.
No, I think we should, I think we should have a shot while we do what we're about to do. It's usually the groom, it's usually the groomsmen like do it in their own, you know, they're supposed to see the bride and we're doing it together because fuck tradition. My name is officiant Nikolai Heater and we have witness. We're going to marry you. Excuse me, but you're a winner. We got a future Mrs. Castellano and a future Mrs. Castellano.
She's been practicing her signature. Vic Sack is co-host for the last number of times on this show. But Vic, know what you get to have when you, when they, when somebody reads your last name?
They're gonna go Victoria cast. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You're gonna be Victoria's scene with people.
I'm gonna keep talking to you guys. There's like a dead time voice on. Yeah. He's like, all right. So tonight I got a, you guys, you guys fans out there, my dude Bruce Willis. Yeah. He can't talk to people.
And he filmed, he filmed 22 movies in the last two years so that he had a backlog and they kind of kept it under secrets. No, you can't. Yeah. Yeah. All right. So are you guys friends? I'm gonna, we're gonna do the shots first. No, I think we're gonna talk about what we do. Ready? All right. So ladies and gentlemen, I'm here.
I'm here for a lot of reasons tonight. My name is Nikolaj Jeter. I am an officiant certified by the Universal Church of Life to marry people here in the county of Charleston. I want you guys to know that not only am I here for the show tonight because Wes and I recorded numerous times over the last couple years, but I'm here on an official capacity to marry my friends tonight, guys. And we're gonna do it via the show because I think it deserves to be done this way. Hi. They just, yeah, they just put me in the video.
Yeah, we're trying to shoot from all angles. Yeah, it's great. No, good. So we'll splice this together. We'll fix it in post.
I'm good. We'll do it. We'll do it live.
We'll do it live. Yeah. Fuck it. We'll do it live. This is the post. Oh, no, we're talking about the video. Yeah, we got like multiple copies. Ladies and gentlemen, they have a wedding license.
They have a wedding license, fully legal and paid for $70 plus taxes or plus fees processing fees. So what we're gonna do is Wesley is gonna sign it first. We're doing those later after you sign. Oh, man. Yeah, we're gonna babe.
I think we should do it together. I love you. I love you. I'm down. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, this is a rock and roll wedding. Yeah, so I don't know if you know this or not But rock and roll we do shots I'm not scared.
They're not scared. I'm not under the jurisdiction of any I've had about 10 days to back out and I haven't so Wesley I'm the one who asked what I'm saying like, you know, we're like, you want to be married? It's like no, I was absolutely You have not backed down since that time that I asked you that one thing I don't want to know. Hey, Victoria, what would you like the wedding song to be? Vic Vic? Why don't you uh, well, I can already play the the two do you want to do like who fires everlong?
Which size of very well. All right ladies and gentlemen, we're gonna put some music in the background What would do this, but I'm gonna talk to you while we do it So On the Charleston County Wedding license marriage certificate Okay, so Nikolai so that he was going to narrate what was happening this so obviously we're putting pen to the paper We are signing the The light the certificate the contract. What do you what would we call it? The license. Yes Sign your daughter over Yeah, it's like it's not a we our marriage is not a mortgage both start with them so So Nikolai said he was gonna narrate it, but I'm gonna do a little bit more efficient job But basically what he was doing was reading If the cut the the license like just what it says so you just type in on Google Marriage license Charleston or South Carolina and it's like love.com or something SC love Yeah Yeah, just go it.
I'm too lazy to do that right now even though I'm sitting on a computer So here's some some enjoy some everlong again, and we'll kind of fade right back in Oh Waste away It's box Yeah, well, you know you gotta have rough drafts. You gotta be careful Wesley Castellano. Yes victory Nelson Yes, I pronounce you man in life You may kiss your bride Ladies and gentlemen, there's no music because they're making sweet music on the ground You probably never see this on camera They love each other I love the high-tech fucking lover just I love the shit out of you fuck This is actually dude. I'm fucking married. You're married.

Yeah. Yeah, touch a boo Well, just so you know we're both virgins until later I don't want to ruin Bobby Jerry's Victoria. I don't want to ruin your marriage, but He's not a virgin. I've done things with him. I spent two I spent two nights in prison. Okay two nights in prison I do It says I'm not gay but $20 is $20. I have a debit that says $40 was spent legally with West Cosalano Yeah, I'm just saying I think I did it twice with them.

I trust your version Yeah Friends on the other side I need everybody clap their hands everybody help me welcome Mr. And Microphone world Thank you, thank you, and so sorry to our parents friends We're gonna give them about 35 45 seconds dirty things because I know that's all it'll take okay So you guys they're done. We'll come back in and we'll go back to the show. We'll take a quick little pause All right, yeah, 45 45 seconds have all I need is 30.
What's the two? Take a hot I only Well, we only need like 35 seconds, but let's take a hard to heart to yeah Well, we gotta have soft to come well, it's it's more about the cleanup in the smell Four three two one Okay, so we really did take a break and Trish decided to say this We're not we're not recording right now. We were Okay, so Trisha is literally grabbing by the shoulders and she's being really sweet telling me You know how proud she is of me was it in you know, it was really nice and then it kind of just veers off into I Love Victoria which everyone should and I very much so do And she says if I ever hurt her this is what she will do to me and It involves murder, but here's a little taste of it No, I had the body where no one finds it because I'm a scuba diver me too No, I'm more than you. Oh, yeah for sure All right, just so on the record if I ever hurt Victoria Trish will kill me and hide the body somewhere Or you can scuba dive. I don't know Dexamorgan that shit So we're actually taking a fade back in from the break back to the show one oh Just to be honest, I recorded the last like five minutes.
I hope so too. Yeah. Oh, yeah Oh, yeah, that's totally recorded. Hey, if that wasn't recorded be so mad You know never stop rolling you're amazing So it's just so you know we've we've jumped back into segment two Three three weeks later Three yeah, well Victoria and I went on honeymoon. We've talked about some bands in our in our current state and then like something like some some event happened I don't I don't want to say live altering But I think it is yeah, no, it's like I mean it shouldn't be life altering I feel well as in the words of Wayne from letter Kenny when they were like We know the marriage is gonna be hard.
He goes. No, it's not you pick the person that you want to marry and then you do it That's it Like that. Yeah, it's not hard to be ready for that answer. Yeah, it's not hard to be married.
You just marry the person then Life is hard marriage is easy life I'm just telling you right now that I got two friends that have decided to say I do to each other Do and yeah, do do and it doesn't matter what? That's my lady Dale Preston the greatest road. We're not gonna make this weird tonight.
We're just gonna talk What's up silver Fox? Oh, just so you know Vic is older than me west is on my tonight a few yeah when So, you know when you when she graduated high school, she was like, I'm gonna fucking marry this hot eighth grader and wow, well, that's I mean technically You're five years older. So 18 is when you graduate. I was 13.
Wes. Sometimes you don't have to do math, bro She's hot one time. He learns Wife's hotness factor, you know that I You know I graduated college with honors, right?
on hers Where would you graduate with play on God? She still takes it. Yeah, I think she sleeps assaults me It's awesome. I only did that this morning. It was awesome She's traveled me to grab some water and I was like and I was like, oh, I'm like this is just too much of teach She's like you're gonna fuck me from my bad dream. I'm like fucking a right. Yeah, can you make my bed better dreams?
Yeah, that's like the coolest thing. Can you make my bad dreams go away by having sex with me? And I'm like me You want me to do that? I'm like no the other person Usually it's like hey, sometimes he can't believe there's still dreams. Yeah, and I'm just like usually it's like hey, babe Here's like $500 with their presence and unlimited. I love you.
Can we maybe have a section? She's like, well, yes, but now she's like she woke me up She's like I need you to have sex with me so I can forget about my bad dreams and I was like Wait, what? Welcome to marriage. Well, okay, so we're not gonna be a typical You're into the bargain. Yeah. Yeah. So now yeah, I have to trash out. Trash out. Trash out. We've been trashy since day one.
Oh god. That was very trash. We got gross. Slothie drunk.
We were already sloppy drug and oh man, we were you know that typical like break it down first date. Let's go No, don't don't don't give me fucking bullshit stories. No New Year's Eve the ball. New Year's Eve ball drops. They're not his balls.
So what drops the ball drops? Wesley I'll talk you Wesley you're on pause. Yeah, Missy go ahead Vic. Tell me about his balls.
Go ahead. What? Alrighty, so we were plus ones that we did not know about to a pathetic ass New Year's ball kiss pathetic ass why because it was sad. No, I'm not talking to you. Sorry because it was a sad kiss from two people that argued two hours prior Like oh, so they weren't kissing you. No, they weren't but we were with them Yeah, we were we were each other's plus one didn't know about and then I looked at him I'm like did we can do better and then bar stools fell over it got sloppy It got messy And then it got so messy that my girlfriend literally dumped us in front of His brother's apartment and said you guys are staying here And then we just had to wing it and then hung out in his mother's car for the rest of the night and Made the windows foggy Hell yeah, it's your heart out lunar to capture Wesley I'm ready to talk to you now and I woke up with more bruises on my legs than I could count Yeah, it was like a fucking hail storm Wifey Casal Arano tells me he got dirty the first night.
Oh, we got Yeah, okay, so this is so let me even say more. I was living on a couch Yes, he was and then I We both woke up and I remember she was at the bathroom and I was like I didn't even remember his name I didn't remember her name. I went through her purse and had a look at her.
This is so hot I had to ask West don't tell anybody what you just said keep that. No, it was my first Uber ride too Oh shit. Yeah, cuz I didn't even have my cell phone. So we But I was like so we were like, okay, this is like what we had fun.
There was no like weirdness. It was just we didn't remember each other Well, what we did in the car and then It was Even double down my mom's car was my grandmother's Honda CRV That's the one that we can't remember vehicle. All right, CRV 2004 CRV.
Oh, yeah, it's in the parking lot right now. Yeah His mom goes I have so big attachment Given to me and I was like you want to know sentimental attachment. Let me talk about the first night I met your house your son. I was like, oh my god Vic Vic. I gotta ask so I mean we're talking years, right?
So what kept you with this poor bastard? Covid Not covid. I'm just kidding. No, you were not a sneeze Something else besides it is I've been here for five years and I'm well aware. You're not a sneeze West So I want to hear the wife's answer. I want to hear the wife's answer on why she's thought I'm gonna mute my mic Ready He is the perfect pillow and I sleep on him every night on his chest and I cannot go to sleep without him That's the best fucking answer ever hold on my girlfriend right now It wants to step all over this conversation and I'm gonna talk over cuz I don't feel like we're there yet. Hold on a minute You literally just told me he's the perfect pillow. I don't know that I I mean I love this guy And if you don't know don't if you don't know me and Wes's relationship audience This is the guy. Okay.
Yeah. No, this is my hetero life mate Yeah, Kevin Smith and Jason Muse set the tone But this is my dude man, and I've loved him ever since hetero sexual life. Yeah I will hug him every day like I fucking love him like he's my fucking life mate and I hope everybody understands that but this woman right here just told me that she understood the minute they cuddled What I sleep on life is gonna be going forward West shut the fuck up Make you the greatest human ever right now, and I'm not done Vixie I need you to explain to me what what I fell asleep on his chest was like and I don't mean intimate I just want to know like what made you feel so comfortable to feel that okay to just tap out and be like No, this is my dude You know like every night just falling asleep and being just dirt tired from work from the bullshit Like the fact that he will let me drool on his chest even and not even flinch We don't even realize when we actually like separate and we usually still wake up Still right next to each other, but yeah, there's not a single night that I can't use him as my pillow Vic I think you just described to us what we all want I'm not kidding. I I I promise I fell asleep last night on my partner and she's in the room right now I know she's smiling because I said that but no, that's real There's no other there's no other greater feeling than that when you can fall asleep so comfortable But it's okay to drool on your partner, right? I mean you don't talk about Vic like that's that's so just amazingly natural. Yes, I gotta ask What when did you know?
What what what set you in the motion that everything was good for you? Okay, so there was So it was There wasn't like a muscle the setup to this scenario Fire away man. It's okay. Um, break it all down. So we give me that so I Like you know, I've lived on a couch I know literally we only knew each other for what about a less than a year Actually three and a half months Yeah, so then I moved and I moved in with her family And I was some basically some rando pretty much To your parents I'm gonna step in when west says he moved in I moved in yeah, we're not talking like yo this kid moved like a block or he just like crashed on the bed a couple nights No, no, no moved his shit and go ahead Vic go ahead tell him he literally packed up his stuff and Brought it over.
Yes. He actually went to my storage in like the greatest former transition that I've ever met a brother So and he was working through so we met a woman that was willing to take him on as who he was as as Wes And and I'm not trying to tell a story. I'm gonna back out of this I want them to tell this story because it's that beautiful. It was she Metaphorically maybe literally a few shots, but she took a shot in the dark and um, so what was She took me in and then all of a sudden And when I said covid happened It literally was It wasn't bad, but it's like the greatest thing that ever happened.
What happened was You know, you read all these reports that You know people were getting separated what only thing that happened to us was that We got tighter and tighter and then you found it This is how this whole podcast started and but like so it's it's kind of like I mean in the word the bill verse like, you know, it's like You know, I'm saying like you look at yourself the mirror like you piece of shit and all this like all this But it's like wow. She actually loves me for me But like when you said you wanted a podcast I turned around and said well let's I'm bluffing beyond and I don't serve but I think the moment like was it was truly I when I realized that I didn't eat for a day until why Because I she hadn't eaten yet and I couldn't wait for I had to wait for her So I don't eat until Like yeah, like I'll have like a snack. But like if she didn't eat lunch. I won't eat lunch Like I don't feel right if I eat without because because you were pairing Well, it's like with like like I always kind of joke like, you know, our menstrual cycles are synced. Yeah, um The like our appetites are um No, but it's um My life has been Exponentially better since The day I met her I I was for fucking 20 years and everything he's telling you right now is like the realest thing I've ever heard.
Um, that's no shit. They're There is like literally only positives with Victoria like not only in my life. I like to think that I did some positives in her life um, but just like You know what we say like lives depend on you always have your up and downs and all this like our downs like last like what like 10 minutes And then we're just everything's on the up and up I I just it's un fucking real and I was she says like I'm the pillow. She's my blanket Like I don't okay, bro. No, it's awesome.
You're right in your rules and that's the beetle. It's awesome Like with there was the first time Um, my dad was down in Hilton had a disney my grandfather and victoria couldn't make it And I was like I wasn't about to go and my dad lives in Dallas. So I like, you know, I want to go see my dad And I was like, babe, I don't I don't know what to do. She's like go go go go And I'm like, I don't know. I feel like this is like a trap or she's not And I was like in my mind. I was like, is this like a trap? She's like, no, go see your dad So the whole time we're like texting and then I was like, hey dad, like a night and I pop and then I'm like on the floor Victoria we're like Skype calling and it's kind of like basically we were physically apart but We were pretty much connected the whole time Um, isn't that amazing how you can connect to somebody long distance like that, but it's so important to who you are That you can maintain that relationship And it doesn't really like because that proximity of of like where you are Isn't as important as the value of that relationship.
Yeah, it's um With like geography Is it's irrelevant and we're always gonna be that's when you knew didn't you? Yeah, I just think that it was just the It was I I just realized that I I just wanted to just Do like just do things like I know this like Just go like experience it like just I'm doing everything I can to not but work well because like do things sounds like a new window No, no, like I just want to like just do shit like I just like you know, that's your yeah Like people were like, hey, what's going on? Like I feel bad like like if I Jer's down at the pool and I haven't done anything and I like I'll go down like I feel guilty Not because Victoria is mad, but I'm like I just feel wrong because she's not here So I like I literally like I've started playing guitar hero drums to pass the day So I until she gets home And then she lets me go bang bang bang bang bang isn't that amazing when you actually have someone in your life that you put so much value on That you don't have to spend every waking moment doing those things But you want them to be there for those things, right?
And the thing is beautiful like in polyfiction when you could spend that one minute with an uma thermo It's like oh spend one minute in absolute sign. We are literally she's doing Her sudoku because she's crazy insane or puzzles which I just got her an awesome She's only crazy insane because she loves you. She's like She's really good at math no, no, no Anyway, but like we could not say a word for like 30 minutes and It's totally fine. I just I know she's there.
That's it's so I just like to think the beauty of where you are man when you can actually appreciate the person I'm not I'm not scared of tomorrow. Amen, brother That's basically like I know It's the thing in 10 years. I've ever heard you say It's it's true.
I'm not making it all Not falling out, but I'm being real every problem. I just know I got I got a cute thing I've ever heard my brother say as well. It's 10 years on a mic. I don't know that you've ever been that honest I mean, well, it's not hard It's not hard to tell something honest if it's just No, but I don't watch it. It's the god's I don't want you to fake it. No, no I'm saying but it's it was easy for me to say because it's just the truth And it wasn't me trying to be like poetic.
It's just That's just how it is. Vic your boy's kind of sweet. I know And she's well, she's my wife Ah That's so good to hear I'm I'm not My best friend just said wife. I'm not like it's fun to say because we're not it hasn't become part of the wife wife wife wife the normal the nomenclature the vocabulary of us yet, but it's like I'm used to saying oh my girl my girlfriend This but now it's like that's my wife mother fucker Like I can now say like don't you fuck with my wife. You kind of papers Yeah, we have the But though I can say now what's really awesome I just realized is that I can throw that's my wife and throw up the wound take Those are your beautiful titties down there.
Yeah, I can throw I can just go that's my wife wife Wu Tang symbol I'll be forcing it forcing my style is awesome. I'm causing more family food And the survey said you did baby flag Chopped swap the fucking head mr. Who is that? Hey, yo, the who is back making niggas go Back on super jet.
Me. They know what oh no here come the Wu Tang showgun Put the needle to the groove I get screwed and I'm forced to fuck it up My staff cabbies like to pick up truck cross the clear blue yonder see the time to see a slam tracks like All the best Okay, so what I was trying to get at was that I could get to say that's my wife throw up the Wu Tang symbol hence why I played Wu Tang clean right there So we're actually on a little quick little break again Trying to figure out a topic to talk about and also take pictures because we just got married. Yay and And uh victoria showed me this song. It's awesome. It's a remix to puck and 21 pilots So while we're discussing what to talk about next and kind of end out the show You know you gotta have some faith in music. So here is 21 pilots and to puck. Enjoy it Motherfuckers when they scrapping blast and watch them back up motorist big Affiliation with death row. They get the gas. We're back food.
It's the west coast. Mr. Meena. I'm raising hell like felonies Mr. McAvelli straight out of jail selling ease intoxicated We duplicated but never faded now that we made it my adversary's play a hating god of Mercedes for these tricks I thought I quick then gotta drop top day 40 pictures.
That's all my dick. Go to club in the pack I'm smoking bird in the back. I'm waiting for niggas to drip because I love to scrap Mama raised me as a third nigga.
We love niggas. I'm a millionaire started as a drug dealer I went from rocks to z's writing rap some movies. I went from trusting the tricks now. They all want to sue me So fuck them all We go where we want to They take this thing is a highway Highway, but well, maybe like tomorrow Put your hands around his neck and demand your respect.
